Chengdu, China - September 20 - The USA Youth Women's National Team is off to the semifinal round at the U18 World Championships following an 11-10 win over the Netherlands earlier today.
Rosalie Hassett delivered the game-winner with 1:49 to play as Team USA scored twice in the final 2:30 to secure the victory. Charlotte Raisin and
Lucy Haaland-Ford led the offense with three goals each while
Keri Glad recorded 12 saves in net. Team USA now advances to meet Greece on Saturday at 7am et/4am pt, live streaming will be available by

The two teams were even in the first quarter trading goals. In the second quarter it was more of the same.
Sydney Lowell gave Team USA the lead early at 3-2 but the Netherlands answered shortly thereafter. Haaland-Ford had the last word with a penalty shot with about a minute to play in the quarter to tie the match at 5-5 going to halftime. In the third quarter Raisin came up with two big goals to keep Team USA in the mix, her second gave Team USA a 7-6 lead. After the Netherlands evened the score at 7-7, Sam Hofley converted with just 15 seconds left in the period for an 8-7 lead after three. The Netherlands scored two straight to open the fourth quarter, regaining the lead at 9-8. The action went back and forth until Hassett came through with the clutch goal late.
Team USA went 4/9 on power plays and 2/3 on penalties while the Netherlands went 4/5 on power plays and 1/1 on penalties.
