Tournament Information

The ODP Regional Championships provide Zones outside of California with the opportunity to compete against one another in a structured tournament environment. These events are designed to expand competitive opportunities across the country and ensure athletes in all Zones have meaningful chances to showcase their development.

The ODP National Championships bring together all 13 ODP Zones, with approximately 18 teams participating. Each Zone will enter at least one team, while larger Zones will field two. Teams will begin in four seeded brackets of four, with seeding and structure managed by USA Water Polo National Team Staff to ensure balanced and competitive play.

Beyond competition, the National Championships also serve as a cornerstone for development across all levels of the program. Athletes gain valuable high-level playing experience, while coaches and referees participate in professional development opportunities led by ODP and National Team Staff. This integrated approach ensures that the event not only identifies top athletes but also strengthens the overall pipeline of players, coaches, and officials nationwide.
