USA Water Polo's Holiday Camp was started in 1985 and remains one of the its greatest annual events. Each year, athletes and coaches from across the country have convened at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado to learn from some of the best coaches our country has to offer. In 2009, the Holiday Camp was moved under the guidance of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and referees were added with the intent of continuing the tradition of conducting the Holiday Camp with an emphasis on the long term development of athletes and coaches. The following year, the Holiday Camp was divided into a Boy's and Girl's Camp in order to increase the number of athletes, coaches and referees participating in this special environment.

2024 Dates:
December 5 - 8, 2024 Boys Holiday Camp
December 12 - 15, 2024 Girls Holiday Camp

Cost:
$650 per athlete plus airfare  
Ground Transportation to and from COS Airport and the OTC is covered by the USOPC Shuttle.
 
Eligibility:
The camp will host 120 eighth grade athletes allocated by ODP Zones. All athletes must be at least 12 years of age.
The club administrator is responsible for confirming that the athlete is in 8th Grade. There are no exceptions.
Athletes must be a current GOLD member.

Nomination Forms and Dates:
Nominations will open to Zone Chairs, Club Admins and Club coaches. A nomination form will be sent out in early October. All families will be notified whether or not they've been selected to attend by October 31st once our High Performance Staff makes sections.

Coach Interest Registration Information
USA Water Polo will select 24 coaches for the Boy's and Girl's camp to attend a coaches clinic held in conjunction with the athlete's camp. To express interest in attending, current coaches must log into their USAWP membership account, click on conferences on the left side menu and select Boys and Girls camp in order to be considered. Please note, this simply demonstrates interest in the event and does not guarantee you a spot at the camp. Our High Performance staff will send invitations to selected coaches. Do not book any flights until a selection email is sent out.
