Whether you are a player, former player, parent, official, or fan, it's likely that water polo holds significance for you. The mission of USA Water Polo in 2025 remains steadfast—to foster the growth of water polo across the United States and achieve success in Olympic, World Championship, and Pan American Games, earning medals for the nation. Your support through donations plays a crucial role in building and strengthening our community and advancing our mission.
In contrast to our international counterparts, USA Water Polo doesn't receive government support. The United States Olympic Committee contributes approximately 25-30% of our National Team budget, equivalent to 10-12% of our overall budget. Annual Fund contributions are instrumental in bridging the gap between membership revenue and the expenses associated with promoting national growth, funding our National Teams, and undertaking vital initiatives such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, the nationwide relaunch of the Splashball™ program, offering scholarships and financial aid at all levels of play, as well as referee and coach recruitment, training, and development. Additionally, these funds enhance resources for our National Team athletes, both in and out of the pool.
USA Water Polo is committed to financial prudence, with no outstanding debt. We have effectively funded our National Teams and invested in the sport within the constraints of our revenues. While proud of our achievements, there is still more to be accomplished.
We invite you to contribute to USA Water Polo's 2025 Annual Fund. Our goal this year is to raise $1,250,000!
Your tax-deductible gift not only makes a tangible impact but also sends a powerful message of support for the sport, this organization, and its mission.
Supporters making direct donations of $1000 or more to the annual fund will receive complimentary admission for two to USAWP-hosted events for one year, including Junior Olympics & Team USA Events!
Whatever amount you can give, we assure you that your contributions will be used efficiently and wisely. For any inquiries, please reach out to Grant Jones at 714.500.5434 or via email at gjones@usawaterpolo.org.
Donor Testimonials
Almost 5 years ago our enthusiastic 10 year old hopped on a noodle in the pool on his first day of Splashball and chucked a yellow ball at a goal…. that was the start of our family's passion for water polo. Countless hours of swimming, practices, games, and miles traveled and we still can’t get enough. Our family was initially happy to donate to USA Water Polo because we wanted to support our son's interests but over the years we have seen how much this organization does to support our Olympic Teams and advance the interest in this sport nationwide. As a board member of a foundation I have a duty to invest in nonprofits that are responsible and move our country forward. USA Water Polo is one of those organizations. It is a good investment.

As a family, we were introduced to water polo when our oldest was invited to a practice at the age of 12. We had no idea, then, that this sport would impact her life and ours in such a positive way. Water Polo has provided her with a community, a passion, and a home. Her team, coaches, the pool, and all those who work tirelessly to promote and support the sport have become her “happy place.” USA Water Polo has created a place of support and guidance and purpose that extends beyond just a “sport”. They have created a positive path forward for our sons and daughters to help them achieve their life goals with a sense of confidence, support and self. It has opened doors that we never expected. We support USA water polo so we can give back to the community that has given us so much in the hopes that it will continue to build and grow so others can experience the friendships, family and fun that we have!

Water Polo has given so very much to our family – we've enjoyed the game as players, fans and coaches. It's a beautiful and rugged game that teaches all the traits we admire in sports – teamwork, dedication, trust, toughness, skill, grit. USA Water Polo, especially in recent years, has done a great job promoting and growing this sport we love. We have faith in their goals and mission, and we see how hard they are working to execute on their plans. We will continue to support the sport and our national teams long after our family's playing days are over!

USAWP has done a fantastic job evolving from a small niche grassroots organization into a truly national sports federation, working to grow water polo across the Country. We sometimes forget that we are a smaller sport and taking it to regions where it is not well known is a difficult task given the many sports and entertainment choices that exist today. Notwithstanding, we are seeing tremendous growth in the south and Midwest and an increased awareness of our sport. That is due to the hard work of USAWP and I am proud to help support those efforts in any way I can.

Our family has been blessed to be a part of the USA Water Polo community for several years now, as we have four children that play water polo, from age 10 on up to 19. We could not be more pleased with the benefits and support that USA Water Polo has provided our family over the years. Our children continually receive the opportunity to work with high level coaches and mentors, that strive to enable them to be the best they can be, not only as athletes but as upstanding members of this community. USA Water Polo promotes the sport from the ground up and has provided our kids access to everything from excellent training programs to high level competitions across the United States and Internationally. Our children have chosen to build their lives around this incredible sport, and we are grateful to USA Water Polo for providing the platform to make their dreams a reality.

When our younger kids were in elementary school, we started looking for sports that involve brain, skill, fitness, team work, low chance of injury, and year-round play. We watched the USA Water Polo Team at the Beijing Olympics, and wanted our kids to have a chance growing up fit and strong like the players. Luckily our kids liked water polo. Now six years later, water polo is dominating our family agenda, accompanying our son and daughter to games and training has become my second job, and we have been thoroughly enjoying the process.
