The United State's women's team took on Brazil on Day Four of the UANA Junior Pan American Championships. USA's offense dominated the whole game, which allowed them to gain the lead early on and to win 19-4. Brianna Daboub and Jordan Raney both scored four goals to lead the team to victory. Carlee Kapana and Emalia Eichelberger shared time in the goal for the United States while Victoria Chamoro was in the goal for Brazil. Kapana made five saves, Eichelberger made four saves, and Chamorro made five saves.
The United States' Mary Brooks scored the first goal of the game that was followed later on by a goal by Brazil's Izabella Chiappini. The USA answered with a three goal run with goals by Jordan Raney and Briana Daboub (2) to give the United States a 4-1 lead after one quarter.
Diana Abla scored early in the second quarter to give Brazil their second goal of the game but the United States continued to build their lead with goals by Katherine Klass, Aria Fischer, Alexis Liebowitz, Raney, and Amber McCutchen. Klass and Daboub were also able to capitalize on five-meter penalty shots to expand their lead to 11-2 at the end of the half.
The USA's offense continued to dominate in the third quarter with goals by Devin Grab, Raney, Daboub and Sydney Blubaugh while Brazil's Mariana Durate scored the teams only goal in the quarter to make the score 15-3 with one quarter remaining.
Sofia Rivas scored for Brazil in the fourth quarter but the USA added four more goals by Brooks, Haley Wan, Devin Grab, and Raney for a final score of 19-4 USA.
