Irving Extends Unbeaten Run; Allen Advances To Euro Cup Semifinal

Men's Champions League - Quarterfinal Stage, Second Round

Pro Recco 13, HAVK Mladost 10

Team USA attacker Max Irving extended his unbeaten run with Pro Recco in a 13-10 victory against HAVK Mladost. Irving scored once for the Italian side in the win.


 

Women's Euro Cup - Quarterfinal, Second Leg

Trieste 10, Ethnikos 8

Team USA attacker Malia Allen and Trieste confirmed an appearance in the Euro Cup semifinals with a 10-8 victory over Ethnikos. Trieste will face Barceloneta beginning on April 11.

 

Men's Euro Cup - Quarterfinal, Second Leg

Jadran Split 19, Panathinaikos 19
Marseille 14, Sabadell 14

Team USA goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg and Panathinaikos ended in a tie with Jadran Split, 19-19, in the Euro Cup quarterfinal.  Team USA utility Jack Larsen and Sabadell also tied Marseille, 14-14, in another quarterfinal matchup. The ties mean neither American athlete will move on to the semifinals after losing the quarterfinal matches on aggregate. Larsen scored twice in the contest for the Spanish side.





Men's Italian League - Round 20

Pro Recco 21, Genova 11

Irving and Pro Recco gained another three points with a 21-11 victory against Genova. Recco is now a perfect 20-for-20 in Serie A1 matches on the season.


 

Men's Spanish League - Round 19

Sabadell 20, Boadilla 8

Larsen and Sabadell faced off with Boadilla in a return to Division de Honor play and claimed a 20-8 win in the contest.


 

Men's Greek League - Second Phase, Round 6

Panathinaikos 17, Peristeri 5
Vouliagmeni 14, Apollon Smyrnis 11

Weinberg and Panathinaikos took care of PAOK, 15-7, in Greek League action and remain in second place in the league standings. Team USA attacker Hannes Daube recorded a hat trick for Apollon Smyrnis in its 14-11 loss to Vouliagmeni.


 

Women's Spanish League - Round 17

Sant Andreu 17, Sabadell 10
Mataro 22, Iruna 10

Team USA athletes Tara Prentice and Isabel Williams came up short in a domestic battle with Sant Andreu, 17-10. Elsewhere in Spain, Team USA attackers Jewel Roemer and Paige Hauschild picked up a win with Mataro against Iruna.
