Volos, Greece - August 26 - The USA Men's Cadet National Team avenged their opening loss at the FINA U16 World Championship, beating Malta 10-7 earlier today.
Maddox Arlett and

Team USA got out to an early lead in the opening period of this game. Arlett, Bradley, and
Ben Forer scored for the Americans alongside one player advantage goal from Malta to make the score 3-1 after the first. Team USA used another 3-1 quarter to build the lead behind scores from Arlett, Bradley, and
Gavin Appeldorn while Malta converted another player advantage goal to make the score 6-2 in favor of the United States at the half.
Team USA stayed consistent offensively in the third with three more goals in the period. The Americans got goals from
Connor Kim (2) and Arlett in the period as Malta matched the output with three goals of their own to make the score 9-5 going to the final frame. In the fourth quarter, the defenses showed up to close the game. Malta scored the first goal with 2:00 remaining to cut the deficit to three before Bradley put Team USA back up by four on a player advantage with 1:26 to play. Malta added a goal with 0:01 to go to make the final score 10-7 in favor of the United States.
