Volos, Greece - August 24 - The USA Men's Cadet National Team was defeated at the FINA U16 World Championship earlier today, losing to Hungary 15-4.

Hungary jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back in this game. Arlett scored for Team USA with 1:51 left in the opening quarter sandwiched in between five Hungarian goals to give them a 5-1 lead after one. Hungary stretched the lead in the second quarter with three goals and great defense holding the United States scoreless to make the score 8-1 in their favor at intermission.
Hungary scored three times in the third but Team USA got a pair of goals from both Connors, Kim and Ohl, in the quarter to make the score 11-3 for the Hungarians going to the final frame. The fourth quarter saw more of the same as Hungary put four on the board while Banos converted a player advantage goal midway through the period for Team USA to leave the final score at 15-4.
Team USA scored three times on power plays with no penalties attempted while Hungary scored twice on power plays with no penalties attempted.
