San Francisco, CA - June 6 - On the heels of NCAA Championships for their respective teams UCLA's Garrett Danner and USC's Stephania Haralabidis were honored with the Cutino Award on Saturday evening at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA. The water polo equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, the two were honored for their excellence in the most recent college water polo seasons.
Danner, the starting goalkeeper for UCLA was named ACWPC Division 1 Player of the Year and was an All-America 1st Team selection in helping the Bruins to an undefeated season (30-0) and their second straight NCAA title. Haralabidis, a left-handed attacker for USC was also named ACWPC Division 1 Player of the Year and was an All-America 1st Team selection in leading USC to a perfect season (26-0) and the program's first NCAA crown in 2013. She memorably scored the game winner over Stanford in the title match from near mid-pool with just six seconds to play.
