Irvine, CA - May 11 - USA Water Polo has officially unveiled the artwork for the 2026 Junior Olympics, a bold design that celebrates the culture, energy, and identity of two iconic American destinations: Southern California and Dallas, Texas.

Centered around the sport itself, the design features a large water polo ball emblazoned with "Junior Olympics 2026," positioned above the pool and goal, symbolic elements that represent the heart of the tournament and the athletes who define it. At the bottom of the artwork, "Orange County, CA" and "Dallas, TX" are anchored by the USA Water Polo shield, reinforcing the nationwide scale and significance of the event and community.

The surrounding artwork tells a larger story: one rooted in place, culture, and community.

On the Southern California side, the design incorporates a collection of instantly recognizable visual cues: a skateboarder carving through the foreground, a surfer carrying a board along the coast, palm trees, a classic convertible low rider, the Pier, the Hollywood sign and the towering Los Angeles skyline. A subtle nod to the Long Beach Harbor is also woven into the design, a forward-looking reference to the global stage awaiting the sport just a few years from now, when Olympic water polo arrives in Long Beach for the LA28 Olympic Games. Together, these elements channel the unmistakable lifestyle and visual identity of Southern California.

Balancing the composition is the spirit of Dallas and the American Southwest. A cowboy mid-lasso, a longhorn, Texas-inspired stars and flag details, and the Dallas skyline all serve as tributes to the culture, pride, and energy of North Texas.

The final result is more than event artwork, it is a visual representation of the evolving identity of the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics itself: national in scale, deeply connected to community, and rooted in the culture surrounding the sport.

As the largest age-group water polo tournament in the world, the Junior Olympics continues to serve as a defining moment for thousands of athletes and families each summer. The 2026 edition will once again bring together the next generation of players from across the country for a coast-to-coast celebration of competition, culture, and community.

The newly unveiled artwork will also serve as the foundation for the official 2026 USA Water Polo Junior Olympics merchandise collection, bringing the design to life across apparel and event gear throughout the season.

Fans, athletes, and families can now shop the first release of official Junior Olympics merchandise featuring the 2026 design and begin gearing up for the road to Orange County and Dallas.

The 2026 Junior Olympics starts on July 18 in Orange County with Session 1 and concludes with Session 3 in Dallas, Texas on August 2. For more information on the Junior Olympics, click here.
