San Francisco, CA - May 13 - The Olympic Club has announced the women's finalists for the Peter J. Cutino Award, an iconic honor in NCAA water polo to recognize the best men's and women's players each year. The women's finalists are
Emily Ausmus (USC),
Juliette Dhalluin (Stanford), and
Jenna Flynn (Stanford).
Emily Ausmus became the first woman in MPSF women's water polo history to go directly from being a newcomer of the year to a 2026 MPSF/Delfina player of the year in consecutive seasons. After claiming a spot on the MPSF All-Tournament Team, the sophomore attacker captained USC to its first NCAA Championship since 2021 and was named NCAA Tournament MVP for making six goals and three assists across three games. Ausmus led the Trojans in scoring once again with 77 goals and handed out 30 assists for 107 total points this year. The All-MPSF First Team member also stole the ball 39 times and went 27-2 on sprints this season.
Juliette Dhalluin was named MPSF Tournament MVP after scoring 12 goals across three games, including tying her career-high with six in a 16-14 win over USC in the final. The redshirt junior attacker earned All-MPSF Second Team honors again this year and led the Cardinal with 32 assists. Dhalluin also racked up 49 goals, 15 multi-goal games, and nine hat tricks in her second season at Stanford.
Jenna Flynn earned a spot on the All-MPSF First Team and MPSF All-Tournament Team this season as a redshirt junior attacker. She led Stanford in scoring with 54 goals and handed out 28 assists to also lead the team in points with 82. A three-time All-MPSF selection, Flynn registered 15 multi-goal games, including 12 hat tricks, and now sits in 11th on the all-time Cardinal scoring list with 182 career goals.

Established in 1999 by The Olympic Club, the Cutino Award is given annually to the top men's and women's NCAA Division I water polo players as voted on by coaches from across the country. The namesake of the award is a legend in United States water polo history, with eight NCAA titles as head coach at Cal.
