USA Men Defeat Argentina In Semifinals At 2023 PanAm Aquatics U17 Championships

Team USA moves on to the Gold Medal game versus Brazil
Irvine, CA - April 7 - The U.S. Men's Youth National Team defeated Argentina 17-7 earlier today in the semifinals at the 2023 Pan American Aquatics U17 Championships. Ryder Dodd scored four goals while Boden Brinkema and Ben Forer each added three for the United States. A replay of the semifinal can be accessed here. Team USA moves on to the Gold Medal game tomorrow, April 8 vs. Brazil at 1:45pm et/10:45am pt! The game will be streamed LIVE on the ABDA Bauru YouTube channel.

Team USA and Argentina were neck and neck through the opening quarter. The U.S. struck first and the two countries traded scores until Forer converted late for a 5-4 lead. The Americans began to pull away in the second, putting six goals on the board while the Argentinians managed a last second goal for an 11-5 halftime advantage. In the third period, the USA Men saw four different athletes register a goal while Argentina found one. In the final frame, the United States tacked on two more without letting up defensively. Argentina was held to one goal yet again and Team USA punched its ticket to the Gold Medal game.
