Nijverdal, Netherlands - December 23 - The USA Women's National Team wrapped up a two-week training trip in Europe with a 13-10 victory over the Netherlands last night in Nijverdal. 
Jordan Raney and 
Ryann Neushul scored three goals each to lead the USA attack with 
Amanda Longan going the distance in net to record eight saves. Team USA finishes 2023 with an overall record of 28-4-1 including gold medals at the World Aquatics World Cup and Pan American Games.
Team USA got off a to a strong start early as they opened up a 3-1 lead in the first quarter thanks to goals from 
Emily Ausmus, 
Jewel Roemer and 
Rachel Fattal. In the second quarter the United States delivered three more goals and took a 6-3 lead into intermission. The Netherlands offense got on track in the third quarter scoring three times to keep pace with Team USA, keeping their deficit at three goals after three.
The fourth quarter was chock full of offense as each side connected for four goals. Team USA was in command early in the period as they built a 9-5 edge and seemed to have the match in hand. The Netherlands roared back into the match late in the period closing to within two goals at one point. Neushul came up with a clutch goal to provide some breathing room. Then with time winding down and the Netherlands pressing, Raney connected for her third of the day on an empty-netter to secure the win. 
Team USA went 8/10 on power plays with on penalties attempted while the Netherlands went 3/10 on power plays and 1/1 on penalties.
