Lima, Peru – March 7 - The USA Men's Senior National Team concluded Day 1 of FINA Intercontinental Cup play with a match against Canada in Lima. Team USA held on for a 10-9 win, led by two goals apiece from
Tyler Abramson,
Ben Stevenson, and
Thomas Gruwell.

Team USA took an early lead following the opening quarter at 4-2. The second quarter brought Canada back within a goal as Team USA's lead was cut to 6-5 heading into intermission. In the third, both teams scored twice, and Team USA led 8-7 going to the fourth. In the final frame, the two teams remained even up until the final seconds when Team USA defender
Dylan Woodhead scored on the power play with ten seconds to play to vault the United States to the 10-9 victory.
