Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain - November 2 - The USA Women's National Team began play today at the FINA World League Super Final with a 9-6 victory over the Netherlands. Jenna Flynn,
Jewel Roemer, and
Jordan Raney each scored twice in the win while

Team USA jumped out to an early 3-2 lead after the first period via goals from Raney, Flynn, and
Ryann Neushul. In the second quarter, the Americans added to the lead when
Rachel Fattal scored on a counter attack and Flynn notched her second goal of the contest as The United States would hold a 5-2 lead at halftime. The Netherlands got back on the scoreboard with a pair of goals in the third period, while Roemer (2) and Raney added three for Team USA to make it 8-4 going to the final frame. The Dutch cut the deficit to one in the fourth quarter behind two penalty shot conversions before
Bayley Weber scored on a player advantage with 2:59 left in the match. That would be the end of the scoring as the United States claimed the 9-6 win.
The United States went 3/9 on power plays and 1/1 on penalties while the Netherlands went 2/9 on power plays and 2/3 on penalties.
