NYAC fought back as they responded with a 4-0 run of their own to tie the game 6-6 on a goal by Reed Cotterill midway through the third quarter. That was as close as it got as Olympic Club replied with a 4-0 run on the back of goals by Mulcahy and Peter Varellas to take a 10-6 advantage that they never relinquished as they went on to win 12-9.

The Kids are Alright:Â USA Academy turned in a solid performance at the Fisher Cup as they finished in 9
thplace going 3-1 on the weekend. They battled hard against Olympic Club in their first game but couldn't hold on to the early lead as they lost 11-9 against the eventual champions.
