2017 Junior Olympics Conclude With Session Two Champions Revealed

July 30, 2017 Irvine, CA - July 30 - The 2017 Junior Olympics finished today at the William Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine and surrounding venues with medalists crowned in a variety of divisions in Session 2. In the Platinum Division finals at the 18U girls level it was 680 edging SOCAL 7-6 to claim gold and Santa Barbara 805 defeating SET 11-9 for bronze. In the 16U division Rose Bowl downed Diablo Alliance 11-7 for gold and Northwood outlasted Santa Barbara 805 for bronze winning in a shootout 6.6 to 6.5. At the 14U level Laguna Beach got past Commerce 10-9 to win their second gold on the day in platinum play while Rose Bowl toppled Santa Barbara 805 by a score of 11-5 to win bronze. Laguna Beach won the 12U gold as well defeating Riverside in a low scoring affair, 5-3. SOCAL snared the bronze medal after getting past Santa Barbara Premier in a shootout 4.5 to 4.4. Last but not least in the 10U mixed division the gold medal went Newport Beach who was one goal better than 680 at 6-5. SOCAL blanked Laguna Beach 4-0 to earn the bronze medal.
