Originally from Pasadena, CA, Levon Dermendjian began a lifelong involvement in water polo as a player at the club and high school levels. Transitioning into officiating in 2001 at just 17 years old, he has since built a distinguished career as a referee. A USA Water Polo International Referee since 2013, Levon served as Head Referee of the CCA Zone from 2015 to 2018 and has officiated numerous NCAA Men’s and Women’s Championships. Dedicated to the development and governance of the sport, he has been a member of the NFHS Rules Committee since 2013 and the California State Rules Interpreter for water polo since 2017.
