Lauren Sterbens joined USA Water Polo in October 2025 as the Olympic Development Program Manager. She brings over a decade of experience in collegiate and professional athletics, having served as a Sports Information Director for the past ten years. Before that, Lauren was deeply involved in the sport as a water polo coach, athlete, and referee.

Her connection to USA Water Polo began early in her career as an intern following her graduation from CSU Monterey Bay with a degree in Communications. She also holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from CSU Long Beach.

Lauren resides in Cypress, California, with her husband, Brett, their children, Serena and Sebastian, and their two dachshunds.
