Paulina Bui joined USA Water Polo after stints working in youth, collegiate, and professional soccer having just finished an operations and sales internship for the professional women's soccer team, NJ/NY Gotham FC. She also has experience in coaching youth sports from the ages of 5-18 primarily focusing on providing a free soccer team for refugee and immigrant children during her time at Yalla SD. While at Yalla SD, Paulina focused on writing grants to fund the academic and soccer side of the nonprofit. Paulina then left to grow her fundraising skills working at UCSD's School of Global Policy and Strategy.
Prior to her time in California, Paulina was a Division 1 athlete on Oregon State University's rowing team. After graduating with a BA in Political Science, Paulina took a job with the Oregon State Athletics department working as the Project Manager for the Athletic Director and Deputy Athletic Directors. During this time, she was also Director of Operations for the Oregon State Women's Soccer team. Currently, Paulina is a master's student at Georgetown University studying Sports Industry Management.
Paulina enjoys all water sports and usually competes on a sailing or canoeing team.
