San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Girls Water Polo Head Coach for a top 10 team in Southern California. Players have been named to the Olympic and National team in the past 8 years and the program has had numerous Div. 1 athletes over the past 10 years. Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program including but not limited to: supervision of lower levels, hiring of assistants and lower level coaches, scheduling of games, budget, and fundraising. Seeking coaching traits of: positive reinforcement, enthusiastic, character development, holds athletes accountable, progression in skill training, strategy and scouting skills. The Head Men’s Water Polo Coach is responsible for all phases of a highly competitive NCAA Division II water polo program including, but not limited to, practice and game preparation, recruiting, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches, budget management, alumni and public relations, coordination of off-season conditioning, fundraising, all aspects of program administration, and adherence to the rules of the NCAA, the Western Water Polo Association, and Fresno Pacific University. The Head Coach must be committed to student-athletes’ academic, personal, and athletic growth and development, and demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit and motivate NCAA Division II student-athletes.
