Referee of the Month - April 2012 Eric Welter - Northeast Zone

Eric has been involved in the sport for years as a parent, referee, and leader, and truly illustrates what "dedication" is to this game.

He has recently taken on the job of Head Referee for the Northeast Zone and has had a major role in the rebuilding of the referee structure in the zone which has led to a huge increase in recruitment, development and training of referees in the Zone.

He began his career as a referee on deck not too long ago and has done a fantastic job of balancing his duties as zone administrator, parent, and referee, not to mention working the management of his "real life" job as managing partner in a growing law firm with offices across the country.

Despite Eric's crazy schedule, he still has found the time to dedicate an extraordinary amount of time to our sport and has a true passion for officiating.

We are fortunate to have him involved and we look forward to his leadership for years to come.
