Mark Carney joined USA Water Polo in 2017 from Rugby NorCal where he served as executive director overseeing some 5,000 student athletes and 500 coaches. He successfully grew the sport by increasing player participation and competition opportunities. In this new position at USA Water Polo Carney will be responsible for growing the organization at the membership and club levels in addition to a focus on increasing collegiate water polo programs. A graduate of Salem State University with a BS in Sport Management, Carney earned his Masters in Sports Management from Florida Atlantic University.
