Panathinaikos 18, Apollon Smyrnis 15
Daube scored three times for Apollon Smyrnis against Team USA goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg and Panathinaikos. The result went to Weinberg and Panathinaikos, 18-15, who now hold a one game to none lead. Another victory in the second leg of the semifinals would send Panathinaikos through to the championship final.

Team USA utility Jack Larsen and Sabadell were defeated by Barcelona, 20-19, after a penalty shootout in the first leg of the Division de Honor semifinals. Now facing a 0-1 series deficit, Sabadell will try to keep its hopes for the final alive in the second leg of the semifinal.

In the return to play after World Cup qualifiers, Team USA utility Tara Prentice and goalkeeper Isabel Williams upended Sant Feliu, 21-9, in Spain while Team USA attackers Jewel Roemer and Paige Hauschild also picked up a win with Mataro against Horta.
