Irvine, CA - September 29 - Members of the Team USA Senior National Teams are slated to begin the club season in Europe where a variety of countries have welcomed 13 American athletes for the 2025-26 season. While some have competed for their clubs before, most make the move to a new club this season. The international water polo landscape features numerous athletes with experience at the USA Water Polo and NCAA levels; here's a closer look at current members of Team USA.
Four athletes from the 2024 Paris Olympics women's roster are competing abroad this season. Tara Prentice returns to the Spanish club Sabadell for a full season after making a handful of guest appearances last year while Jewel Roemer joins the professional ranks in Spain with Mataro. Jordan Raney is back in Greece to guest star with Ethnikos after previously playing for Olympiacos in 2022. Jovana Sekulic is also in Greece as she moves from the collegiate game to Olympiacos to begin her professional career.
The lefty Malia Allen returns to Europe as well, moving from Panionios in Greece to Trieste in Italy. Maryn Dempsey reunites with Tenerife Echeyde in Spain where she spent last season while Isabel Williams transfers from the Greek squad Glyfada to the Spanish side Sabadell.
Four members of the Bronze Medal-winning men's roster from the 2024 Paris Olympics are competing abroad, including captain Max Irving who moves within Italy from Brescia to Pro Recco. Luca Cupido also transfers within Italy, going from Camogli to Rari Nantes Sori, while attacker Hannes Daube leaves the UWA Torpedoes in Australia for Apollon Smyrnis in Greece. Adrian Weinberg will stick in Greece but move from Chios to Panathinaikos.
Jack Larsen departs Pro Recco in Italy for Sabadell in Spain while Nicolas Saveljic makes his return to Europe with the Italian squad TeliMar.
