Serie A1 (Day 26) April 18-19
Brescia 13, Pro Recco 12
Savona 14, Bologna De Akker 10
TeliMar 11, Roma Vis Nova 8
The Serie A1 regular season concluded last weekend and the playoff semifinalists are now set. Max Irving scored three for Brescia in a massive win over Ben Hallock (one goal) and Pro Recco. Brescia secures first place in the league with the win and will face Trieste in the semifinals. The loss sends Pro Recco to second place and into a matchup with Savona. Marko Vavic and Savona influenced the final standings with a win over Tyler Abramson and De Akker. Trieste and De Akker were tied in points going into the day but the De Akker loss to Savona, coupled with a Trieste win, gave Trieste fourth place. Abramson and De Akker finish in fifth and narrowly miss the semifinals. Quinn Woodhead and Roma Vis Nova came up short against TeliMar but will play for 5th-8th while Drew Holland and TeliMar find themselves in the relegation playoffs after a tough season.
