SCHEDULE - ROSTERS - LIVE STREAMING - LIVE STATS
Irvine, CA - April 17 - The 2025 Men's National League concludes with National League Championship play coming to Southern California on April 25-27. After four weeks of regular season play, Mission has established itself as the team to beat with an undefeated record. The Olympic Club, Los Angeles Athletic Club, and New York Athletic Club make up the remaining top seeds who will receive a bye in the first round. With the last two days taking place at Mt. San Antonio College, the National League Championship will pit the top twelve teams from this season in a bracket-style tournament against one another.
When the quarterfinals begin on April 26, Los Angeles Athletic Club won't look like the roster they have had for much of the season. This is because LAAC has signed two of the most decorated players in the history of the sport to cap up for the National League Championship: Dénes Varga and Filip Filipovic. Varga is a two-time Olympic medalist, two-time World Champion, three-time Champions League winner, and the 2019 Total Player of the Year. The Hungarian is a true magician in the water, as he has dominated at the highest levels with his unmatched creativity, vision, and deadly scoring ability. Filipovic is a four-time Olympic medalist, two-time World Champion, and four-time Total Player of the Year award recipient. The Serbian standout is armed with one of the most dangerous shots in the world, has the ability to beat multiple defenders, and plays with a passion and charisma that exudes joy.
Those two are just a part of the major star power on display this weekend. Team USA Olympic bronze medalists Chase and Ryder Dodd will cap up for Mission while Johnny Hooper hits the pool for The Olympic Club. The Dodd brothers are coming off the podium in Paris followed by the NCAA Championship with UCLA this past December. Ryder Dodd is also a finalist for the Cutino Award, college water polo's version of the Heisman Trophy. Hooper is a part of a strong contingent of California Golden Bears in the National League ranks who've won NCAA titles including three-time champ Max Casabella. All that is just a small sampling of the talent that'll be in the water this weekend in Walnut.
Mt. San Antonio College, La Cañada High School, and Ocean View High School will serve as hosts for the championship weekend. Admission is FREE to all matches. Live streaming from
