Hallock, Irving Advance To Euro Cup Quarterfinals

Brescia and Max Irving upended Team Strasbourg 16-13 in France to secure a spot in the Euro Cup quarterfinals. Recco Waterpolo also advanced to the quarterfinals after toppling ASC Duisburg 18-7. Team USA captain Ben Hallock notched a hat trick for the Italians in the clinching win. Elsewhere, the Greek side Vouliagmeni earned its first points in Group B with an 11-6 victory over Ortigia. Dylan Woodhead scored one for Vouliagmeni in the triumph.

Team USA continues to be well-represented in Italy. Team captain Ben Hallock scored twice for Recco Waterpolo in a win against Ortigia while attacker Max Irving posted four scores for Brescia in a four-goal victory over Trieste. Recco and Brescia remain tied atop the Serie A1 standings. Goalkeeper Drew Holland and TeliMar played SC Quinto to a draw as Tyler Abramson helped De Akker over Catania with a pair of goals. Savona and Roma Vis Nova each won to keep pace with each other in the race for third place as they await Marko Vavic and Quinn Woodhead, respectively.
