USA Men Take Seventh At FINA Junior World Championship After 12-11 Win Over Greece

Prague, Czech Republic - September 5 - The USA Men's National Team earned seventh place at the FINA Junior World Championship with a 12-11 win over Greece. Greece got off to a good start building a 6-3 lead after the first quarter. Team USA turned the tables in the second quarter outscoring Greece 5-1 to take an 8-7 advantage at halftime. The scoring slowed in the third quarter but the United States kept building their lead going in front 11-8 as action moved to the fourth. Tierney scored his fourth goal with 2:21 to play in the match giving Team USA a 12-9 lead. Greece added two goals late but the United States was able to hang on for the win.
