USA Men Drop First Match In Prague Falling To Spain 20-10

Prague, Czech Republic - August 30 - The USA Men's National Team suffered their first loss at the FINA Junior World Championship, dropping a 20-10 match to Spain. Nico Tierney and Carson Kranz scored three goals each to lead the USA attack while Adrian Weinberg tallied up five saves in net. The match was tight early on in the first quarter until Spain surged ahead to take a 6-3 lead after the opening eight minutes. Spain built a 9-5 edge at intermission with three more goals in the second quarter. Spain took control of the match in the third outscoring the United States 7-4 to go ahead 16-9. A 4-1 margin followed in the fourth quarter giving Spain the 10 goal victory.
