Prague, Czech Republic - August 28 - The USA Men's Junior National Team opened play at the FINA Junior World Championships with a 12-7 win over Slovakia. Nico Tierney scored three goals in the win. The two sides were even through the first quarter with a 2-2 tie. Team USA pulled in front in the second quarter for a 5-4 edge at intermission. The third quarter was where things were decided as Team USA outscored Slovakia 6-3 to take control at 11-7. The United States added on one more goal in the fourth to take the match at 12-7.
