Huntington Beach, CA - May 6 - The 2019 National League Regular Season wrapped up yesterday at Ocean View High School and Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA with Olympic Club being named the regular season champion. High-flying Cardinal: Stanford made its 2019 National League debut in spectacular fashion as they went 5-0 while outscoring their opponents 60-32. Goalie Andrew Chun came up big between the posts as he recorded 56 saves in 4 starts including 17 saves as Stanford handed USA Collegiate its first loss of the season.
 
Breakthrough: National League newcomers Pacific Coast Riptide won their first ever National League game as they defeated fellow newcomers Commerce 11-8. Dalton Kenefick led the way with four goals in the victory with all of them coming in the final quarter.
 
Peak Performance: Goalie Samuel Krutonog of S&S Bruin snatched 16 saves in a 12-8 victory over Long Beach Shore. He averaged nearly 13 saves a game in the Bruin's first four games of the 2019 National League.
 
All-Time Classic: Long-time rivals Olympic Club and New York Athletic Club squared off for the first time this season. It was Olympic Club the defending National League Champions who came away with the 5-4 victory as Johnny Hooper scored the game winner with 12 seconds left in the game. 
 
Up Next: The 2019 National League Championship tournament will take place May 18-19 at UC San Diego in La Jolla, CA during the annual Fisher Cup event. Stay tuned for schedule information.
