Then There Was One: After week one there were three undefeated teams, but that is no longer the case as USA Collegiate remains the only undefeated after knocking off defending champion Olympic Club 13-10 behind 16 saves from Jack Turner. Meanwhile USA University fell from the top of the standings after falling to NYAC and the Olympic Club.

Bouncing Back: New York Athletic Club bounced back from a poor start as they won all three of their games during week two including a big 12-8 victory over then 1st place USA University.

Comeback Kids: Alumni trailed by three goals twice during their game with Golden Bear, but never gave up as they reeled off four consecutive goals over a four-minute span in the third quarter to take an 8-7 lead that they never relinquished as they went on to win 12-10.

Home Field Advantage: Hosts Davis picked up their first National League victory as they defeated fellow newcomer Commerce 17-14 in a thrilling matchup. Davis led 9-6 a halftime, but then Commerce battled back to go up 12-11 early in the final quarter. Davis would have the final say though as they ended the game on a 6-2 run to clinch the victory.
