Nov. 8, 2015 Irvine, CA - November 8 - The UCLA Women's Water Polo Team topped USC 4-3 in the final match at the 2015 Collegiate Cup to claim the gold medal a year after coming up short in the final. The Bruins bounced back from a shootout loss earlier in the day to Cal to upend the rival Trojans. Mackenzie Barr scored twice and Alex Musselman posted nine saves in the win for UCLA. The Cal Bears earned third place with a final day that saw a shootout win over UCLA and a loss to USC.
As for the rest of the standings, UC-Irvine earned fourth place, Michigan was in fifth, Arizona State in sixth, Hawaii in seventh, USA Water Polo Academy in eighth, and Long Beach State in ninth.
