Huntington Beach, CA - May 25 - USA Water Polo mourns the loss of former member and LA Water Polo club athlete Veronika Weiss. Weiss was a victim of the recent shootings in Santa Barbara. Weiss, 19, was in her first year at UC-Santa Barbara. She competed for the Westlake High School water polo team. The LA Times has more information, an article can be accessed by clicking here. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends along with those of the other victims.
Our thoughts and prayers are also with University of the Pacific men's water polo player Nicholas Pasichuke who is recovering from injuries suffered during the events in Santa Barbara.
