BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Southern California remains the No. 1 team in the country by topping the Women's National Top 20 and highlighting the 2014 Women's Varsity Top 20, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top 10 and CWPA Division III Top Five Week 10/March 26 Polls released by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
The top teams in three of the four polls remain unchanged from last week's edition as USC (National Top 20), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Division III Top 10) and Princeton University (CWPA Top 10) hold onto their previous top rankings. Carthage College, which was tied with Connecticut College for the No. 1 position in the CWPA Division III Top Five, acquires sole possession of the top spot this week.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Big West Conference, Golden Coast Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2014 Varsity Top 20 Poll (Week 10)
Another week brings another stretch of dominance for the Women of Troy as theUniversity of Southern California remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the 2014 Women's Varsity National Top 20 Week 10/March 26 Poll.
USC (100 points), which remains the consensus pick as the best women's water polo team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), leads a Top 20 which experienced minor changes in the wake of two losses by former No. 8 Loyola Marymount University over the weekend.
The first seven positions in the Top 10 hold firm from the March 19 voting as the University of California-Los Angeles (95 points), Stanford University (90 points), the University of California (85 points),Arizona State University (80 points), the University of California-Irvine (76 points) and California State University-Northridge (67 points) remain locked at No. 2-to-7 behind USC.
Due to LMU's losses, the No. 8-to-11 positions in the poll undergo some changes as San Jose State University (66 points) and Princeton University (59 points) both move up one place to No. 8 and 9, respectively, to fill the void left by the Lions, while the University of Hawaii (57 points) and Loyola Marymount (46 points) assume the No. 10 and 11 berths.
No. 12-to-16 remain unchanged as Long Beach State University (44 points), the University of California-San Diego (42 points), Indiana University (38 points), the University of California-Davis(28 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (21 points) stay put for another week.
The final four positions in the poll all experienced some degree of adjustment as the University of Michigan (18 points) assumes sole possession of the No. 17 slot, Santa Clara University (14 points) slips to No. 18, Hartwick College (13 points) returns to the rankings at No. 19 and the duo of Wagner College (7 points) and San Diego State University (7 points) tie at No. 19 to round out the Top 20.

2014 Division III Top 10 Poll (Week 10)
Similar to the National Top 20 rankings, the Women's Varsity Division III Top 10 Week 10/March 26 Poll is led by a a team that continues to dominate the group as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (99 points) remains at No. 1 for the sixth consecutive week.
The Athenas, who dislodged Pomona-Pitzer Colleges for the top spot in the Week 5/February 19 balloting, now hold a four point lead over their closest rival as Whittier College (95 points) and Pomona-Pitzer (91 points) exchange positions to rank at No. 2 and 3, respectively, this week.
California Lutheran University (84 points) maintains a hold on the No. 4 slot, while Occidental College(75 points) rises up[ to tie Chapman University (75 points) at No. 5.
The University of Redlands (74 points) and the University of La Verne (61 points) stay at No. 7 and 8, with Washington & Jefferson College (37 points) and Carthage College (37 points) tying at No. 9 to complete the Top 10.
Connecticut College (35 points) and Grove City College (12 points) also received votes.

2014 CWPA Top 10 Poll (Week 10)
2012 and 2013 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) champion Princeton University retains the No. 1 spot in the CWPA Week 10/March 26 Top 10 Poll.
Princeton (98 points), which regained sole possession of the No. 1 ranking last week after tying with Indiana University in the Week 8 poll, continues to be stalked by the Hoosiers (97 points) as the gap between the two teams remains a single point.
Overall, the remainder of the league rankings remain unchanged from the March 12 and 19 voting as the University of Michigan (89 points), Hartwick College (85 points) and Harvard University (81 points) complete the Top Five.
Brown University (74 points), Bucknell University (70 points), George Washington University (66 points), Mercyhurst University (60 points) and Gannon University (55 points) round out the Top 10.

2014 CWPA Division III Poll (Week 10)
After tying with Connecticut College for the No. 1 position last week, theCarthage College Lady Reds remain the top team in the CWPA Division III Top Five Week 10/March 26 Poll.
For Carthage, the ranking marks the second time the program has topped the league standings after tying with the Camels last week.
Washington & Jefferson College (96 points), which fell to both Carthage and Connecticut two weekends ago at Utica College in league play, moves up one position to No. 2 on the heels of a 4-3 victory over the Camels last week in a league game hosted by the California Institute of Technology.
Connecticut (91 points), which won the 2013 CWPA Division III title and was ranked at No. 1 in the Preseason to Week 6 balloting, drops back to No. 3, with 2011 and 2012 CWPA Division III championGrove City College (85 points) staying at No. 4.
Macalester College (81 points) completes the league's Division III rankings.
