Wilson's boys water polo players are champions again.
The Bulldogs earned two victories Saturday to capture their first state championship since 2010.
Second-seeded Wilson knocked off No. 1 North Penn 14-9 in the final at Lansdale Saturday.
Tristan Williams scored seven goals in the clincher, which came after the Bulldogs defeated third-seeded Erie Cathedral Prep 17-13 in the semis.
It was Wilson's 16th state championship.
"The team bought into my defense-first philosophy from the beginning of the year," Wilson coach Adam Filer said. "It really showed in the game against North Penn."
The matchup with North Penn was a rematch from two weeks ago, which the Knights won 7-5.
Wilson found the right time for payback. It was in control from the start, building an 8-3 halftime lead.
Tony Covell had two goals and three assists and Matt Guenter had four assists to help spark the offense.
In the semifinals, Wilson scored eight goals in the first half and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated the Ramblers.
Quinn Lloyd led the team in scoring with six goals and Covell and Domonic Vottero each had four assists.
Five others recorded goals for the Bulldogs, led by Williams with three. Guenter and Kegan Laman each had two. Goalie Preston Hoopes recorded 10 saves. Hoopes had 13 saves, including six in the fourth quarter of the title game.
Wilson had five players named All-State after the tournament. Guenter and Carter Young were both named to the first team. Williams and Lloyd were named to the second team. Hoopes was named honorable mention.
