Israel - July 29 - The USA Men and Women won gold at the 19th Maccabiah Games that just concluded in Israel. For the USA Men it was their third gold medal and first since 2001 while the USA Women picked up their first ever gold medal in the first year for women's water polo at the Maccabiah Games. Spencer White and Maddy Rosenthal were named MVP for the men's and women's divisions respectively. The third largest sporting event behind the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup, the United States sent some 1,100 athletes to participate in the Maccabiah Games. The United States men and women both topped Israel in the championship final. See below for full results and team rosters.
