BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Southern California remains unchallenged at No. 1 as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 8/March 13 National Top 20, Division III Top 10, CWPA Division I/II Top 10 and CWPA Division III Top Five.
USC joins Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Division III Top 10), Indiana University (CWPA Division I/II Top 10) and Grove City College (CWPA Division III Top Five) in defending a No. 1 ranking from last week.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Big West Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2013 Women's Varsity National Top 20
The University of Southern California garnered 100 points for the third time in as many weeks to retain its position as the unanimous top team in the 2013 Week 8/March 13 Women's Varsity National Top 20 Poll.
USC, which displaced Stanford University (95 points) for the top position two weeks ago, leads a Top 10 which experienced no changes from the March 6 balloting.
Stanford, Arizona State University (90 points), the University of California-Los Angeles (85 points) and the University of California (80 points) remain locks at No. 2-to-5, respectively, behind USC, while theUniversity of California-Irvine (75 points), San Diego State University(71 points), the University of Hawaii (65 points), Long Beach State University (59 points) and San Jose State University (55 points) hold on at No. 6-to-10.
Indiana University (49 points) and Princeton University (42 points) cling to No. 11 and 12, whileCalifornia State University-Northridge (29 points) jumps two places to No. 13. Loyola Marymount University (34 points) and University of California-Santa Barbara (31 points) hold at No. 14 and 15, while the University of California-Davis (29 points) slips to No. 16.
The final four positions remain relatively unchanged as the University of California-San Diego (22 points) and the University of Michigan (17 points) stay at No. 17 and 18 with the University of the Pacific (10 points) joining Hartwick College (12 points) in a tie at No. 19.

2013 Women's Varsity Division III Top 10
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges Athenas picked up 98 points to retain the No. 1 position in the 2013 Week 8/March 13 Women's Varsity National Division III Top 10 Poll.
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (95 points), which held the No. 1 spot from the preseason poll until being displaced by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps last week, moves up one place to No. 2 this week after dropping down to No. 3 in the March 6 voting.
California Lutheran University (88 points) slips down to No. 3, while the University of Redlands (85 points) and Occidental College (80 points) retain their previous positions at No. 4 and 5, respectively.
Whittier College (74 points) and Chapman University (73 points) hold at No. 6 and 7 for another week, while Grove City College (62 points) jumps up to No. 8 in front of the University of La Verne (52 points).
Washington & Jefferson College (34 points) and Connecticut College (34 points) remain tied at No. 10.

2013 Women's CWPA Division I/II Top 10

Another week, another No. 1 ranking for the Hoosiers of Indiana University as the squad picked up 99 points to fall one point shy of being a unanimous top selection in the 2013 Week 8/March 13 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I/II Poll.
Overall, the first nine positions in the Top 10 remain unchanged from the March 6 voting as Princeton University (94 points), the University of Michigan (89 points),Hartwick College (88 points) and Harvard University (80 points) remain locks at No. 2-to-5.
Brown University (75 points) holds on at No. 6 for another week, while George Washington University(70 points), Bucknell University (65 points) and Mercyhurst University (60 points) stay at No. 7-to-9.
The only change in the Top 10 comes in the final position as Gannon University (33 points) climbs from the ranks of "receiving votes" to tie Notre Dame College (33 points) at No. 10.

2013 Women's CWPA Division III Top 5
The 2010, 2011 and 2012 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Champion Wolverines of Grove City College (100 points) remain the top selection as the No. 1 team in the Week 8/March 13 CWPA Division III Top Five Poll.
The No. 1 pick of the league's coaches for the 26th consecutive week, the Wolverines captured their third consecutive CWPA Division III crown last year and continue to reign as the dominant team in the league rankings.
Overall, the Top Five positions remain relatively unchanged from last week asConnecticut College (94 points) and Washington & Jefferson College (91 points) hang on at No. 2 and 3, respectively.
The lone change in the standings comes at No. 4 as Carthage College (83 points) gains sole possession of the position after tying with Macalester College (82 points) last week.
