Huntington Beach, CA - April 16 - Kate Strand, Events Manager at USA Water Polo, has resigned to take on a similar role at the University of Southern California. In her three years at USA Water Polo, Strand anchored the organization of all USA Water Polo National Championship's including the Junior Olympics, Masters National Championships and Champions Cup. In her time she also assisted in the development of a new event, the Rock-tober 12 & Under Classic. Strand was a vital presence in non-championship events including the USA Water Polo Annual Assembly, Hall of Fame induction, and Golf Tournament fundraiser.
Her three year tenure witnessed growth in member participation in several National Championships as well as diversification in venue location for events including visits to Michigan, Texas, and Colorado. "Kate will be missed by many, she was a wonderful friend to both our members and to the staff of USAWP," said Claudia Dodson, USA Water Polo Director of Club and Member Services. "Kate's customer service was her trademark and we wish her success in the next chapter of her career."
