BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Pomona-Pitzer Colleges joined Stanford University, Indiana University and Grove City College at the apex of the rankings as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) released the Week 4/February 15 Women's Varsity National Top 20, Division III Top 10, CWPA Division I/II Top 10 and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
The Sagehens defeated former No. 1-ranked University of Redlands, 13-7, to take over the top ranking in the Division III Top 10.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Big West Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2012 Women's Varsity National Top 20
2011 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) champion Stanford Universitywas idle last week, remaining the unanimous selection in the 2012 Women's Varsity Week 4/February 15 National Top 20 Poll.
The Top Five remained unchanged with University of Southern California (USC) (95 points), University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) (90 points), University of California-Berkeley (86 points) and Arizona State University (78 points) retaining the No. 2-through-5 rankings, respectively. The University of Hawaii (74 points) slipped past the University of California-Irvine (73 points), which placed second at the Triton Invitational, and into sixth. San Jose State University (65 points) and San Diego State University (61 points) were joined by Loyola Marymount University (54 points) in the back end of the Top 10.
Indiana University (51 points), University of Michigan (45 points), University of California-Davis (37 points) check in at No. 11-13 with the University of Maryland (34 points) jumping three spots on the back of two victories over ranked opponents. The University of California-Santa Barbara (30 points), Hartwick College(28 points), California State University-Northridge (18 points), Long Beach State University (14 points),Princeton University (11 points) and CSU Bakersfield (7 point) made up the remainder of the ranked teams in this week's poll. The University of California-San Diego (3 points), Iona College (3 points) and theUniversity of the Pacific (1 point) received votes but did not reach the Top 20.

2012 Women's Varsity Division III Top 10
The Women's Varsity Division III Top 10 poll features a new number one as Pomona-Pitzer Colleges became the new consensus No. 1 in the Week 4/February 15 poll.
The Sagehens returned to the top spot for the first time since the final poll of 2010 thanks in part to a 13-7 victory over the University of Redlands, which fell to No. 2 with 92 points.Occidental College (90 points) rounds out the Top Three. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (84 points) and California Lutheran University (84 points) will share the No. 4 ranking to complete the Top Five.
Whittier College (73 points) retained the No. 6 ranking as the University of La Verne (69 points) andChapman University (68 points) swapped placed between seventh and eighth, respectively. Grove City College (60 points) and Carthage College (44 points) round out the Top 10. Wheaton College (11 points) also received votes.

2012 Women's CWPA Division I/II Top 10
A busy week in the pool for Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) teams led to big changes in the Week 4/February 15 CWPA Division I/II Top 10 Poll.
Defending CWPA Eastern Champion Indiana University (98 points), which finished fifth at the Triton Invitational, remained in charge on the conference rankings. The University of Michigan (95 points) took sole possession of the No. 2 ranking followed by theUniversity of Maryland (95 points), which jumped three places on the strength of a sixth-place showing at the Triton Invitational. Hartwick College (85 points) and Princeton University (84 points) complete the Top Five.
Harvard University (75 points) remained at No. 6 with a three-way tie between Brown University (65 points),Bucknell University (65 points) and George Washington University (65 points) accounting for the No. 7 ranking. Mercyhurst University (55 points) finish out the Top 10.

2012 Women's CWPA Division III Top 5
Grove City College remained a unanimous selection as the No. 1 team in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Top 5, garnering 100 points in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Week 4/February 15 Top Five Poll.
The 2010 and 2011 CWPA Division III champion, as the league's Division III members elected to philosophically separate from the Division I/II programs two seasons ago to contest their own championship, Grove City is striving for the program's third consecutive crown in 2012.
Carthage College (95 points) and Wheaton College (89 points) retained the No. 2 and No. 3 ranking, respectively. Washington & Jefferson College (85 points) and Macalester College (82 points) continue to jockey for position in the ranking with the President's reclaiming the No. 4 ranking.
