Claudia Dodson Named USA Water Polo Director Of Club & Member Programs

Huntington Beach, Calif. – January 13, 2012 –Claudia Dodson, USA Water Polo Associate Director of Competition, has been named Director of Club and Member Programs for USA Water Polo, Christopher Ramsey, USA Water Polo Chief Executive Officer announced today.  In her new role, Mrs. Dodson will direct services, competition, national events and club support for USAWP's 35,000 members and nearly 500 clubs.
 
"Claudia brings a wealth of water polo experience to this position, as well as a track record for getting things right and supporting our clubs," said Ramsey.  "She did an extraordinary job overseeing Junior Olympics, Masters Nationals and our other competitions, and I know she puts the needs of our members first.  With her outstanding professional background and management experience, I know that she will have a tremendously positive impact in her new role."

Dodson joined USA Water Polo in January of 2011 as Associate Director of Competition. She is no stranger to the game of water polo having played age group, high school, college and masters water polo. She also has served as a water polo referee, coach, and club administrator. Outside of water polo she swam competitively in college and high school and was first introduced to the sport of water polo through swimming.

"I am excited to start my next chapter here at USA Water Polo," said Dodson. "Working with athletes, coaches, referees, parents and fans who share my love for the game has been very rewarding. I plan to continue to work collaboratively to improve our members' experience in 2012 and beyond." She continued, "helping to grow our sport and provide quality programs and competitions that meet the needs of all members, from our first time Splashball?????? participants to our seasoned Masters Community is my goal.  I look forward to working alongside the members of our organization and USAWP as a whole."
