Pinecrest, Florida - August 9 - The UANA Junior Pan American Championshps will kick off on Tuesday, August 10 at Gulliver Prep and the Hadley Park Pool in the South Florida area. As for the teams representing the United States of America they are prepared to keep building on a summer that has seen success on both the men's and women's side. For the men's squad and Head Coach Ryan Brown the group is looking to build on the success of a training trip in Europe that saw Team USA knock off traditional powers such as Hungary and Montenegro. While the names have changed from the Italy trip the expectations are similar for this older group. "This is the beginning of our road to the Junior World Championships next year, in Greece. We must start learning about ourselves and about becoming a team, and a family if we want to reach our goals for next summer," noted Brown. Here is the group that Brown will bring to Florida.

On the women's side of things veteran coach and former Junior National Team Assistant Coach Kim Everist returns to pilot the squad in the absence of Head Coach Heather Moody who is with the Senior National Team at the FINA World Cup. Everist will look to build off of what Moody and company accomplished last month when Team USA didn't lose a match en route to winning a four nations tournament hosted in Los Alamitos. "I am really excited to get the opportunity to coach this great group of athletes at such an important event," said Everist. "The UANA Cup is the qualification tournament for the 2011 Junior World Championships. As has been in the past, there will be great competition and this will be a wonderful learning experience for all of the girls on the team."
