Huntington Beach, CA - December 14 - Nominations are being accepted for the 2011 class of the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame. Candidates can be nominated as athletes, coaches, or officials. Nominations will be accepted from now until March 1, 2011 with the induction ceremony slated for September, 2011. "This call to action is a great opportunity for our members to help shape our Hall of Fame. If you feel an individual deserves this extraordinary honor, please take the time to look look over the nominating process, and submit names for consideration to our committee," said Brent Bohlender, USA Water Polo Hall of Fame Co-Chairman.

In 2010 the Hall of Fame returned with six inductees including Bret Bernard, Kathy "Gubba" Sheehy", Heather Moody, Edward Rudloff, Jamey Wright, and Peter Ueberroth. The United States Water Polo Hall of Fame was established in 1976 to honor the achievements of the United States' premier water polo athletes, coaches and officials. The inaugural USA Water Polo Hall of Fame class included esteemed water polo athletes and coaches such as Kenneth Beck, Austin Clapp, Lemonine Case and Paul Wacker.
