Huntington Beach, CA - June 19 - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches have announced the 2009 Women's All-American Teams. A host of athletes from Division I, II, and III were recognized including several USA National Team athletes.
Among those recognized were Head Coach Adam Krikorian (UCLA) and field player Tanya Gandy (UCLA) as the ACWPC Coach and Player of the Year. In addition Kami Craig (USC), Lauren Silver (Stanford), Michelle Stein (USC), and Jessica Steffens (Stanford) were also named to the first team. USA Assistant Coach Coralie Simmons was also named Division II Head Coach of the Year for her work at Sonoma State.
