Cardinal Still In Front; Sun Devils Slide Into Fifth Place

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Stanford University and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges remain unanimous No. 1 selections in the Women's Varsity Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls, while Hartwick College climbed to the top spot in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 poll as the March 4 Women's Varsity Water Polo polls were released earlier today.

Stanford, which assumed the No. 1 position last week, maintained its selection as the unanimous top team in the nation for a week in a row.

Overall, the Top 20 teams in the nation experienced little change as Arizona State University moved up one place to take over No. 5 and drop San Diego State University back to No. 6, while the University of California-Irvine fell back to No. 11 after Loyola Marymount Univeristy moved up one place to No. 10.

Hartwick College moved ahead of the Univeristy of Michigan to take over No. 14 place following a 9-7 victory by the Hawks over the Wolverines at the Elite Six Tournament hosted by Bucknell University over the weekend.  Michigan drops back to No. 15, while Indiana University moved in front of the University of California-San Diego for No. 18 in this week's national poll.
