CERTIFICATION
In order to be a completely registered USA Water Polo coach the three (3) steps below must be completed. Note that coaches will not appear on verified rosters should any one of the below steps be unfulfilled.
If you have already registered for the current year, please proceed to step 2. If not, please start with Step 1.
(1) Register as a USA Water Polo Coach – A coach will need to register or renew each calendar year. Online roster verification requires teams to have registered coaches. Those who do not register as a coach put themselves and their clubs at risk.
(2) All coaches must have current CPR and First Aid certification on file at the National Office. Current EMT, Paramedic and ACLS Certification is also accepted. Please scan/email to membership@usawaterpolo.org or fax card copies to the National Office at 714-960-2431. When emailing or faxing, be sure to include: your full name, USAWP Membership Number, telephone number(s) and email address. If you do not have current CPR and First Aid certifications, click
HERE to be directed to more information for Adult/Child CPR and First Aid. Certifications may take up to 72 hours to be processed and added to your
membership account. Please be sure to submit your certifications in
advance, so your account will remain current. You will be notified via
email when your certifications are close to the expiration date.
(3) To complete the registration process a coach must have a current “Green Light”, which means successful, background screening on file at the National Office. The Background Screening page outlines the program and the Frequently Asked Questions with answers will provide more insight. To begin the background screening process current members click HERE.
