USA Water Polo Membership Options

USA Water Polo offers multiple annual memberships. Memberships are on a calendar-year basis, and expire on December 31 of the given year. Except, new & lapsed member registrations purchased between November 1 and December 31 will lock-in current year pricing and will be valid immediately through December 31 of the following year. Current members who renew their memberships between November 1 and December 31, will be guaranteed current year pricing and the new membership will take effect on January 1, at the end of their current membership. There is a $5 processing fee to register by mail or fax (click here for forms). There is no fee to register online.

Athlete Memberships

  • Gold - The "complete" athlete membership; eligible for all USAWP sanctioned activity, including club practices, sanctioned events, National Championship Events and all Olympic Development programs.
    Shieldy Scholarship Fund - To apply for a Shieldy Scholarship for a reduced price gold membership for those with financial need, please complete an application by clicking here. This membership is NOT available for online registration or renewal.
  • Silver - The "amateur" athlete membership; eligible for club practices and sanctioned events.
  • Bronze (US Leagues Athlete) - The "novice" athlete membership; eligible for US LEAGUES activity ONLY, unless otherwise specified. To learn more about US Leagues, click here. Please note: you MUST be part of a US League to select this membership type.
  • Trial - The "beginner" athlete membership; eligible for club practices only. The trial membership is for first-time USAWP athletes ONLY. This one-time one-week membership is free to the member. To download a registration form, click here.

Professional Memberships

  • Coach - Also qualifies as a Gold Athlete; eligible for all USAWP sanctioned activity as either a coach and/or athlete including club practices, sanctioned events, USAWP National Championship Events and all Olympic Development programs. Must have current background screening, CPR and First Aid on file with National Office.
  • Referee - Also qualifies as a Gold Athlete; eligible for all USAWP sanctioned activity as either a referee or an athlete. Must have current background screening on file with National Office.
  • Coach/Referee - Also qualifies as a Gold Athlete; eligible for all USAWP sanctioned activity as either athlete, coach or referee. Must have current background screening, CPR and First Aid on file with National Office.

Associate Memberships (non-athlete members)

  • Club Administrator - For members taking a larger role in their club administration and development. Eligible to receive club administrator privileges through website (at club's discretion - club primary contact is responsible for notifying USAWP of the administrative privileges for their club). 
  • Parent/Booster - Stay in touch with the sport and receive access to all of USAWP online systems. Receives member pricing for USAWP National Championship events and discounts with USAWP sponsors.
